Final reflection #3

Today I worked on trying to get my website previewer working, but I made no progress. For some reason the second web viewer wont load any pages, which I solved by enabling follow links.

Today I made my browser automatically add http:// if it was not already there. Im currently working on a site preview when you start typing, but im running into a lot of bugs.

Final reflection 1

Today I started creating a web browser in app inventor. I had a lot of trouble resizing the buttons, because the text would center in weird places. Eventually I gave up on resizing them and let them stay the default size. I was able to get back, forward, and go buttons working, and a text bar that adds http:// if it is not infront of the url.

Today I tried some of the tutorials on the cards, but the companion app refused to connect after a while, which slowed me down.

PT Reflection

1.  How many hours did you spend on the performance task? Be very specific, this includes work at home

I spent around 11 hours on the performance task.

2.  How or why did you decide to write the program that you wrote?

What is the purpose?  Does it solve a problem?  Can you use your program to solve a problem?

I decided to write the program because I enjoyed the game snake and it was a pretty simple program. It’s purpose is to entertain people, and it solves the problem of boredom. My program cannot be used to solve a problem.

3.  Capturing using licecap.  Easy, difficult? What would have made it easier?

I thought it was easy.

4.  Submission requirements.  What was clear? Unclear? Did you read ALL of the submission requirements carefully to know what was expected of you?  On the first submission did you submit according to ALL of the requirements?  IF no what did you forget or not do?  why? What would have helped you to be able to cpomplete the requirements more thoroughly?

5.  Capture and marking your code?  Able to do it?  If not what would have helped you?

At first I was unable to mark my code with squares and circles, but I learned how to at the end. It would have been helpful to learn how in the beginning.

6.  Describing the incremental, iterative process of the program. Were you able to do this? If not what would have helped you with this component?

I was able to.

7. Algorithm that integrates other algorithms. Able to do it? If not what would have helped.

I was able to.
